DDoc is a GP service run by local GPs to deal with URGENT medical problems when the surgery is closed in evenings/night, and over the weekend/Bank Holidays. DDOC is available to both private patients and medical card patients.

DDoc is generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Please do not contact DDoc for repeat prescriptions- if you run out of essential medication over the weekend speak to your usual pharmacist who may be able to assist you in this regard.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
